EAS kids rules
- No weight classes. Children go in pods of the nearest weight, then age, then belt, and have two matches each.
- Every match is a final: gold to the winner, silver to the other.
- Boys and girls can share a pod.
- Age is the age on the day.
- Matches are 2 minutes up to age 6, 3 minutes up to 9, 4 minutes up to 15 and 5 minutes from 16, by the younger competitor.
- Scoring: 2 takedown, sweep or knee on belly. 3 guard pass. 4 mount or back. Advantages count, and penalties are as the IBJJF rule book.
